Love First, located in the heart of Dane County, is a Clothing Closet and food ministry dedicated to helping foster care families and low in-come families in need of essential items. Too often children come into care with only the clothes they are wearing at the time of placement. With that in mind, our goal is to supply a care package consisting of up to 5 outfits, toothbrush and toothpaste, shoes and any other necessary items the family or foster family may need for that child. We provide a quiet environment that is not open to the public. Our families schedule a time to shop so that we can offer all our focus on meeting the needs of every family. We strive to improve and support the lives of every foster care home and low-income family who needs help within the community. Contact us to see what you can do to bring about positive change.

How Can You Help
We Make It Easy to Help Others
We understand that not everyone is called to foster or adopt. However, we believe everyone is called to help. One way you can give is to donate your kids gently used stuff. We are looking for clothing, toiletries, toys, bedding, diapers, etc. that we can give to families. Most of the time, foster families are given these children late at night, and without any supplies. We want to be the hands and feet of Jesus through this part of our ministry. Another way is donating a precooked, store-bought meal we can freeze! When families come, we like to give them the option of taking one of the meals with them.
